Bob Marley and the Wailers was formed in 1974. The band included Marley, the Barretts, keyboard player Bernard "Touter" Harvey, and lead guitarist Al Anderson, with backing vocals by the I-Threes. The I-Threes consisted of Marcia Griffiths, Bob's wife Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt. Often confused with the original Wailers (which included Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer), recordings by Bob Marley & the Wailers refer to the period from 1974's Natty Dread through Marley's death in 1981.
