I went to Youngstown,Oh in '73 to see Cold Blood and Buddy Miles. Much to my regret CB was unable to make the trip. Buddy put on a great show and i got to meet and sing with him in Cleveland a few years ago. The highlight of my musical career for sure! I am very glad to see Lydia and the new gang back making music as they have always been one of my favorites. this is really cool stuff>

Magic , captured , and we get to hear it all over again ! Cold Blood , one of the Bay Area's baddest bunch of funk/jazz/soul dudes, and Lydia ! The lady has "got pipes" that still belt out a mean song. Raul, one of the meanest players to get behind a keyboard ! He never overpowered , just wove in an out of all the other stuff goin' on with soild playng. No weak link in this group . You all enjoy this for years to come !

No doubt that Lydia is a fab soul singer, but she owes a lot to Mavis Staples!
