Concert Summary

This recording was made at the Los Angeles Forum in 1968, at the conclusion of the band’s final U.S. tour. Within five weeks, Cream had played their farewell show at the Royal Albert Hall; Jack Bruce would embark on a solo career; and Clapton, along with drummer Ginger Baker, would eventually form the monumental but ill-fated super group Blind Faith.

But for a time, in 1968, it was a long climb up the hill of rock ’n’ roll and Cream sat firmly at…entire summary

How many Cream tracks are still in the vault? I don't care where or what shows they are, or if they were out on any Cream albums, just release them please.

WHERE ARE THE 2 TRACKS THAT WERE REMOVED FROM THIS SET TWO YEARS AGO?

  • Basiledes | Tuesday, October 07, 2008 | 12:00 pm

The Vault has still not made available again the other two numbers that were originally included as part of this concert. They were taken off apparently after someone pointed out that these tracks were from another concert. Because the two remaining tracks are actually the same as two of the tracks from 'Goodbye Cream' I have often wondered whether Vault really intended to remove these and not the others, which are available nowhere else. That at least would make sense but just losing the other two makes no sense at all. In any case when I complained to Vault at the time (2 or 3 years ago) I was told 'all in good time'. Well as I said it is now 2 or 3 years later ( how long is it that we have had Concert Vault) and my patience has worn very thin. Apart from anything else it suggests that Vault actually have another concert from which these numbers (Sweet Wine and NSU) came. I STRONGLY SUGGEST OTHER CREAM FANS PROTEST THE NEGLECT OF THIS VERY IMPORTANT MATERIAL which is badly needed due to the shortage of live Cream. Dammit! this material is so old that the audience that wants it most is dissappearing due to natural wastage. For God's sake Vault MAKE HASTE!
