My first gig was Bowie at Empire Pool on this tour. I was only ten and cried most of the way through. I still have the ticket!

Having recently got my grubby little hands on the "missing" tracks of this concert, namely Waiting For The Man, Queen Bitch and Life On Mars all in superb sound quality equal to this version at least, can I ask if there are any plans to expand this show on the site? We all know that at least Stay and Panic In Detroit should definitely be on here. This would only leave Five Years to be found. Anyone know if Sister Midnight was played at this gig? Also is there any truth in the rumours that DB is planning to release the whole lot as an official album along the lines of Santa Monica '72?

Oh and yes Tony Kaye was the keyboard player with YES. A little anecdote for you JACKPOT. At one of the Wembley Wizard shows during the band intro Tony Kaye was actually booed by some of the crowd when introduced as "ex Yes keyboard player Tony Kaye"...not YES lovers then...and Bowie had to respond with the line "Tony Kaye is a very well respected musician I'll have you know!" Ouch!!

It would be pretty easy to get the rest of the show. Just ask the radio station to cough them up! Panic in Detroit and Stay are easily the highlights however I am not so sure that on the re-issued S2S album that the version of Stay is actually from this show. I know it says so on the cover but there are subtle differences that put doubt in my mind. I have a sneaking suspicion its from a show recorded in Rotterdam thats been around as a bootleg for a good few years...superb quality taken straight from the mixing desk at the show by RCA for a live album that never was sadly! Agree totally with the view that this was an opportunity MISSED!!! To leave out Panic and Stay from this version borders on the criminal. Still the rest is good and it saves me having to damage my original bootleg version any further.

Bowie as Ziggy was so wild a the time I did'nt realize I was watching a icon of music.I wish the performers of today would tour like these people did.

I have always thought this was an incredible show since I first heard it broadcast in the '70s. It really is the "best ever" live Bowie, and probably sold me on his talent. Would love to see the complete set posted. On the Station To Station CD released in the 90s they added as bonus tracks "Word On A Wing" and "Stay" from this show ... remastered in amazing clarity!

Tony Kaye, keyboardist, was the same guy of Yes' original keybordist, did he?

Usually you guys at W.V. outdo yourselves at presenting these shows in better form than the originals. A fine example would be the two 1973 Who shows. The original King Biscuit broadcast was choppily edited and heavily truncated. You folks dug up the original tapes of *both* shows and presented them in all their unaltered/unedited glory. A fine job! Sadly though, you guys have botched it big time with this Bowie show. The original King Biscuit broadcast from the 1970's (and the countless bootlegs it spawned) included the songs "Stay" and "Panic In Detroit" which Osiris33 correctly notes as highlights of the show. And that doesn't even count the songs which were recorded at the concert but never boradcast ("Queen Bitch", "W.F.T.M.", "Life On Mars" etc.). C'mon guys, how could you not even at least include all of the songs that King Biscuit originally broadcast, let alone not add the extra songs not previously aired. You screwed this one up royally....
