In November of 1985, the Nevada del Ruiz volcano caused an immense natural disaster in Columbia, when it melted glaciers and caused catastrophic flooding that resulted in the deaths of over 25,000 people. Native Columbian musician, Chucho Merchan, with the help of Who guitarist, Pete Townsend, began organizing a charity event to raise funds for the surviving victims and to raise awareness of their plight. Held at London's Royal Albert Hall the following February, highlights of this Columbian Volcano Disaster Appeal Concert were broadcast globally on the King Biscuit Flower Hour and featured…entire summary

    Great recording... I saw this broadcast I think it was on MTV when MTV played music... it was good to revisit it. I actually think I like this version a little better than Pulse... Not quite as much as Delicate Sound of Thunder, that version with the feedback... just wow.

    this small set has one of the best versions of comfortably numb ive ever heard.. The harmonies throughout the song, the unique style of percussion, and the wonderfully performed guitar solo just makes me feel numb inside, no pun intended... This version competes with that of PULSE or with that of the Is There Anybody Out There? album. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this available for purchase soon!!!
