Even though an "older" Eric Clapton fan now, it's still great to listen to him. In 1975 at the Jacksonville, FL Colliseum, I was pregnant with my first child. When Clapton came on stage, and his first notes were from "Layla" the baby gave a mighty kick! My then husband and I decided THEN , if this baby were a boy, his name would be Eric. It was and it is. My son Eric is a GREAT guitar player, as well as several other instruments. He and his youngest brother and sister play our praise and worship music for the youth at our church. Blessings all around!

How lucky you was to have seen him...i went to a lot of concerts back in 60's and 70's but was never lucky enough to have seen Clapton..I would trade all the ones I seen for to have seen him once now...

I saw this show when I was 15 in the 15th row. Clapton was fantastic as usual. I took 2 photos of Eric from the front of the stage before a cop threatened to kick me out if I didn't move. Charlie Daniels opened the show and I took all the pics I wanted. Freddie King played the encore, "Further on up the Road", since he lived in Dallas and his daughter went to my high school. Freddie died less 2 months after this show. This encore appears on the 2 CD "Blues" compilation. It is the last song on the LIVE CD. Eric was so proud to be on stage with his guitar hero. I thank the vault for the chance to hear a part of this wonderful memory.
