I saw Rory open for Rush in Madison, WI. What a show, I'll never forget it as this was the only time I saw him live

Just got through listening, at work , no "altering" substances, and I swear I think my head is bigger, really, Rory darn near blew the top of my head off with this one. Amazing guitar - sound is great, its unbelievable the internet and sites like this preserve stuff I never thought I would hear again ---- kudos to the site --- Long Live Rock!

Oh yeah!!! His studio recordings never fully captured what he routinely did live! This should be made available for purchase.

Another billing which was upside down: Oakland Coliseum 1977: Rory Gallagher opening for Electirc Light Orchestra, headliner: Jethro Tull. Tull and ELO were great but the 45-minute Rory set was just too short! Fortunately, I saw him 10 years later at a small club in SF and he was still as rockin' as ever. I always refer him to friends as the "Irish Eric Clapton," in my book, a very high compliment.

Great guitarist/performer, can you find the Central Park show where they put Rory to open for Aerosmith. He blew them away everyone expected Rory to be the show. So much so that they threw beer bottles at Aerosmith when they came on to play. RIP to a great musician. Dantana
