I GOTTA WONDER IF DUANE DID NOT PASS AWAY AND THE BROTHERS JUST KEPT ON PLAYING AND TOURING THESE CATS COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY AS PSYCHEDELIC AS THE DEAD.LISTENING TO DUANE IS ENOUGH TO BLOW YOUR MIND ON ANY GIVEN NITE.I WOULD HAVE RATHER BEEN AT WATKINS GLEN FOR THE BAND,THE BROTHERS,AND NATURALY THE GREATEST BAND IN THE LAND THE GRATEFUL DEAD THAN ANY OTHER MUSIC FESTIVAL.PERIOD.IN '73 WHEN THE DEAD AND THE BROTHER'S PLAYED AT R.F.K STADIUM IT WAS EASILY ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOW'S IN MY LIFE.ONE DRAG IT WAS VERY HOT AND THE LIQUID WAS VERY STRONG SO THINGS WERE EVEN WEIRDER.

Hi everyone! I can't say anything more than what's already been said about the ABB! I've been a fan since I was in my mom's womb because her and my dad absolutely LOVED the Allmans so I followed suit. I've been collecting bootlegs for years. I got a copy of this show about 9 years go and I can honestly say that it is one of my top 5 boots. If anyone wants a copy we can set up a trade or something. Hit me up at mulepanic@hotmail.com I DON'T SALE boots, only trade! Peace and love!

I was there and it was one the most memorable shows ever. Over the years I saw so many concerts at the Cow Palace and Winterland and so much of it is forgotten in the drug-haze of the 70's. But this show holds many great memories for me. Thanks you so very very much for posting it!

You'd have to be a card carrying communist not to love these guys! Arguably the best live band ever.....

This show reflects the status of Chuck Leavell as one of the most underrated keyboardists in any musical genre over the last 30 years. And Dicky is right there with him not worrying about Duane's ghost. It is shocking how they achieved such a pinnacle with Duane at Filmore East with You Dont Love Me and Mountain Jam and then in some ways top that with such outstanding versions of Jessica and Ramblin Man on this set. Most bands would have folded or faded into mediocrity. nady

By far the BEST rock & roll Band from the USA. Think about it. 1971 when Their legendery "Live at the Fillmore East" came out we were still being bombarded by the "British Invasion". Like Ali said after beating Sonny Liston for the heaveyweight title.."I shook up the world". Well in my humble opinion after the release of Fillmore East, They..Shook up the World. Nobody was playing the type of music this Band was putting out, furthermore what guitar player was laying down the Slide Guitar like this 24 year old white boy from the South. UNREAL! Later From New Orleans, home of the "Warehouse" where in 1971 and 1972 I witnessed two New Years Eve shows. In 1971 Tragerty struck for the first time and I never got to see Duane. Heck thinking about it what other Band would have even dared to keep their scheduled gig in December 31, 1971 just 2 months after the passing of their heart and soul. That night Dickey was flat out incredibile.
