Concert Summary

Whenever Yes played a Northeast US tour date the response was overwhelming, and this Connecticut gig is no exception.

This is classic Yes, with many of the band’s cornerstone songs performed in this show, first heard 34 years ago. "Close To The Edge," "Soon,” "And You And I,” and "Roundabout” are clearly the highlights and are placed at key points during the show, around less well-known tracks, such as "The Gates of Delirium.”

Yes, one of the most successful of all the progressive rock bands to come out of the UK, is featured here in their 1974-1976 incarnation, with Patrick…entire summary

Saw this tour as part of the Reading Rock Festival. Yes headlined on the Saturday night and it was the first time we had seen lasers used. What a great gig, the band overplayed the time the council said they could go on to and eventually the plugs were pulled on them. Just before Yes came on we were treated to Supertramp, for me I was in Prog heaven and havn't come down since.

I saw this tour at Roosevelt Stadium in New Jersey, and got to appreciate Patrick Moraz after not being able to accept him at first. He had his own style and did a great job. I was also fortunate to see Tales From Topographic Oceans in it's entirety at Madison Square Garden, with RIck Wakeman, even though hardly anybody in the audience knew the album, as it had just been released. I was lucky, as my high school teacher who I went with, brought the album cover and a flashlight, so I could see the words! The audience was restless sitting through four album sides, but in later years, most that were there agreed it was one of their greatest shows. The Relayer tour was great as well, which I think this show is from, and is an excellent setlist and recording! The band is in peak form, especially Jon's vocals! The current members doing the "In The Present" tour should be ashamed of themselves for billing the show as a YES concert. There is no YES without the spiritual leader and voice of the band, Jon Anderson. They are currently touring with a cover band impersonator who waa maybe six years old when this concert took place. To Steve, Chris and Alan: "Yours IS A Disgrace." They could have done a tour using their last names and played smaller clubs, instead of ripping people off by charging YES prices in large halls, to see a fugazi Jon Anderson. Hope Jon gets well and comes back in any form "soon, oh soon the light!" His shows with the kids from The Paul Green School of Rock were more genuine YES than this fake version that is touring now. Thanks to postings like this, we don't need to waste money on these greedy musicians. Nous Sommes du Soleil! Peace

Saw this show in S.A.Tx. My 1st YES show. I do at least 120 shows a year (I work as a stagehand) and this show still has its place in my top 5. Stunning, Yes! Music is the most obvious form of magic in the world today. Everyone who was at this show will vouch for me on that.

Why is the Yes (Yes-lite?) tour only doing the Midwest and east Coast

Please! Everyone remember the ROGER DEAN stage set up. It started with the "Tales" tour and moved forward to the Relayer shows. Wild!

I was at this show-I had made some counterfeit tickets for my friends to get in-I hand drew them. We had seats on the floor and I can't remember much else due to all the dope!
