Great playlist of the late 60s SF bands. Wish I had been there to see them, but alas I was halfway round the world in East Asia then :) Thanks to Wolfgangs Vault for bringing them back!!

Great intro to these bands! As an old -- okay, middle-aged -- deadhead, I'm somewhat familiar with a few of these bands, but others have been just names on Fillmore and Avalon posters. It's perhaps unfortunate that there isn't more '60s material for many of these bands in this vault, which would pehaps give more insight into the birth of the SF Sound -- the cradle songs, as it were. (For the Dead, I'd probably have included the great dancing jam from 11/19/66 and the Dark Star from 5/15/70.) In any case, this impels me to search farther. Thanks!
