These are just some of the timeless tales that just blow me away. It seemed appropriate to start with a little Rush. Followed by Cream, because "I'm So Glad." 'Songs From the Wood' follows this because Jethro Tull just had to be included in this collection - and this whole concert rocks.
This is a pretty diverse assortment of songs and styles. I tried to pick songs just off the beaten path where I could, from bands that just kick. There are many that I couldn't fit in, heck this is too long now. And I know I didn't put in many artists that classify for this list.

I picked a Hendrix song a little off his beaten path of hits. His guitar rocks on this (doesn't it always?). I knew Joe Walsh (even roadied for him) when he formed James Gang in Ravenna, Ohio and felt this song was worthy. Madrigal/On the Silent Wings of Freedom is one of my very favorites from one of my favorite bands. See if you don't agree. Can he play bass or what? The first time I saw Wishbone Ash I was in Germany in the summer of 1975. This reminds me how awesome it was. And who can say what Mountain to include - this one is pretty amazing. Boom Boom - WOW! Bassist extreme, and what a crowd pleaser. Pat Travers can put on one of the best shows - wow!
The Who in '69 was a force, no doubt. Dead Heads just have to be included - Wharf Rat is a little off the beaten track, but this is one I love. 'I'm sure she's been true to you.' And finishing with Big Brother, Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers, and Sammy Hagar -- what can you say, it just keeps on rocking. Towards the end Sammy brings us back to down to earth. And Emerson, Lake, and Palmer finally ask us to 'show me the way to go home' because at this point that's where we need to be. lol It's been one heck of a ride. Thanks for giving this a listen. My hope is it refreshes your spirit. It does mine.
