The thing about Joe Cocker, and I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I always think of John Belushi doing his impression of him, because like on The Letter, it always sounds WAY over the top. I like Joe Cocker , but on The LEtter here for instance, it would sound better if he didn't over do it so much, sometimes just singing more "straightforward" you know, without the over the top vocal embellishments is what is needed. Just my opinion. An honest tune needs the more "ego-less" vocals, just like when some asshole sings the Star Spangled Banner WAY over the top with all of the ridiculous embellishments, it would sound better without SOrry (end rant )

You gotta admit...Cocker can sing his LUNGS out! I've seen him in concert many times, especially the 80's, and he always gives 110%!! Great Cohen, too! Wow...

first time i've knowingly heard cohen. he was good, but the rest is kinda like a dick clark revue from the '60's: they're doing the songs i like, but it's a bit short on energy. is a house band backing everybody?
